Meet Dr Liz Kerr
General Practitioner - MBBS, FRACGP
Liz was born and raised on a station in the Murchison region of Western Australia. She completed her medical degree, early hospital training, General Practice training and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perth, rural Western Australia and two years in the UK.
Liz then ran her own General Practice in Shoalwater for the next twenty years, delivering babies at the local hospitals and literally caring for people from cradle to grave. She was a Board Member of the local Division of General Practice for several years, lobbied for and was granted the funding to establish the local Birthing Centre in Rockingham Hospital and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian General Practitioners, the gold standard of GP qualifications.
The family then moved back to Perth, where she worked at Murdoch University Health Campus, Peel Hospital Emergency Department and developed a strong interest in Sports Medicine, particularly cycling.
Liz was based in the Perth CBD for the last several years but has moved to Next Practice Victoria Park to allow her to provide high quality, up-to-date medicine with a more caring and personal approach.
