Covid-19 Protocols

Please read the following Covid-19 Protocols before arrival at the clinic.

Due to the increasing spread of COVID in the WA community, our clinic is taking extra steps to keep you, your family and our staff safe. The latest evidence shows that reducing the amount of time patients spend inside a medical clinic will protect them from being exposed to the COVID virus.

To minimise the amount of time that patients spend inside our medical centre we ask that you follow these steps:

  1. Check-in will take place at the front door. You will no longer check-in inside of the clinic. When you arrive you will be greeted at the front door by a Next Practice care team member who will ask you a few Covid-19 screening questions and then mark you as "arrived".
  2. After front door check-in, you may then enter the clinic and take a seat in our Living Room area.
  3. Please let our team know if you have any symptoms such as sore throat, runny nose, cough or fever and we can make arrangements for you to be seen in a safe environment.
  4. Note, our policy may be subject to change when necessary and we will keep you informed of these changes.

Telehealth appointments:

Many of our doctors have switched their appointments to Telehealth, which you can book directly via the app “AMS Connect”. When you book online, please click on the “TELEHEALTH” tab to see all the available telehealth appointments.

Victoria Park Respiratory Clinic:

Please note our neighbouring clinic, Victoria Park Respiratory Clinic, is an appointment-based but free-of-charge service set up to see, treat, and swab patients with respiratory symptoms. This clinic sees patients with active respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and shortness of breath. The Respiratory clinic is currently open Monday to Thursday afternoons. From the 7th of Feb 2022, we will be adding additional clinics on most weekday evenings, and most Sat & Sun afternoons. Please be aware that the Respiratory clinic is not for asymptomatic people just needing a swab. Thank you for your understanding and patience in these changed circumstances, which we are making to help keep you, your family and the Next Practice community safe.

Yours in health,

The team at Next Practice Victoria Park
