At Next Practice we provide a team-based approach to care. We recognise this is different to many other practices in Australia, but our model of care is based on optimal models of care we have observed from around the world. Your primary (usual) GP will lead and be supported by a team of practice nurses, patient advocates, social worker, practice pharmacist and nurse practitioners.
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse with the experience, expertise and authority to diagnose and treat people of all ages with a variety of acute or chronic health conditions. NPs have completed additional university study at master's degree level and are the most senior and independent clinical nurses in our health care system.
