Dr Serena Burgess graduated from Monash University and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners through her training in Tasmania. She has experience of working in both mainstream general practice and aboriginal medical practice. She was nominated for an ANU Medical School Excellence in Medical Education Award in the category of Excellence in Clinical Supervision in 2017.
Serena is easily approachable, passionate about teaching and has a great friendly manner with patients. She enjoys establishing good patient relationships and guiding them and their families through their medical journey.
Serena is keenly interested in skin care and dermatology; including skin cancer checks and excisions and cosmetic facial procedures using minimally invasive techniques. She also has an interest in chronic disease management and aged care.
In her spare time, Serena enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, going for walks and traveling.
