What is WorkCover?
WorkCover (also known as workers’ compensation) is a type of insurance that can offer you an important safety net if you become injured or ill because of work. Under Australian law, employers must have insurance to cover their workers in case they get sick or injured because of work.
What steps do I need to take for WorkCover?
If you sustain a work-related injury, tell your employer, and speak to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately for initial treatment. Following treatment you will receive a WorkCover certificate. With your certificate you can submit a WorkCover claim. For additional details please visit your local state government website.
