Emily at Allevia Physiotherapy completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy through James Cook University in 2013. She began her physiotherapy career working in a general physiotherapy practice covering a variety of general physiotherapy work. She later developed a keen interest in headache, neck and jaw conditions and works collaboratively with Oral maxillofacial surgeons, GPs, ENTs, Dentists, Prosthodontists and other health professionals.
Emily enjoys facilitating the patient journey with care and individualised guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients. Her favourite part of the clinical journey is seeing her patients develop self efficacy and begin to take charge in their recovery. She believes that a thoughtful assessment and treatment approach is fundamental in ensuring that they have the confidence and tools to participate to the fullest.
