Dr. Malini graduated from medical school at Monash University in 2014 and has since gained extensive clinical experience across various hospitals and GP clinics in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. She earned her GP fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2020 and completed her fellowship with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) in November 2023. She is currently pursuing a fellowship with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM).
Dr. Malini started practising integrative and functional medicine after experiencing the benefits through her own personal health journey. She has completed further training in specific nutritional approaches, including therapeutic carbohydrate restriction (low carb, keto lifestyles) and is also a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Malini has always been passionate about medical education, having previously taught at James Cook University and now currently being an academic tutor at the University of Queensland.
Dr. Malini is known for her passion and caring nature, with a strong dedication to holistically enhancing, optimising and maintaining her patients' health and wellbeing. She practices slow medicine, taking the time to thoroughly understand each patient's unique circumstances and health needs, ensuring personalized and comprehensive care.
Furthermore, she is also an entrepreneur, having recently launched Phoenixdocs, a venture that provides educational resources to healthcare providers about integrative and functional medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, singing and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
