Dr Jonatar Boton “Jon” is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Women’s Health. He is a friendly, compassionate and understanding doctor who believes in a holistic, evidence-based, and patient-centred approach to medicine with the aim to empower people to maximise their physical and mental health and well-being. He has a passion for medicine and provides non-judgemental, personalised and very thorough health care to his patients. He believes in working with his patients to achieve the best possible health outcome for them.
He completed his medical degree from the Military University in Colombia in 2003. He has worked at High Dependency Unit, Emergency Medicine and Gynaecology and Obstetrics before he moved to Australia.
He has also worked within the Australian hospital system for several years where he gained experience in paediatrics, psychiatry and general medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked in General Practice in Northern NSW, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Jon obtained the Diploma in Women’s Health via RANZCOG in 2017 and he brings knowledge and experience in Women’s health to the practice through his extended training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and has certificate in Insertion/removal of Intrauterine devices (Mirena, Kyleena) and Implanon.
In his spare time, Jon enjoys activities such as playing soccer, dancing, running, and travelling, as well as spending quality time with his friends, wife and two little kids.
