Change in Service Fees – Effective Monday 21st March


The clinicians at Next Practice Deakin have recently reviewed the fee structure. The following changes will take place effective Monday 21st March.

Safety Cap

  • The safety net policy for concession cardholders will continue and remain unchanged. The gap fee for GP consultations will remain at $30. After six privately charged consultations, all remaining GP consultations (excluding procedures) will be bulk billed for the remainder of the calendar year.
  • The safety net policy for non-concession cardholders will continue with changes. The gap fee for GP consultations will remain at $50. After six privately charged consultations, all remaining GP consultations (excluding procedures) will incur a discounted gap fee of $30 for the remainder of the calendar year.

Procedures:

  • The gap for procedures such as skin biopsies will be $100 and an additional facility fee of $30 will be incurred.
  • The gap fee for other skin procedures will be $200 and an additional facility fee of $50 will be incurred.
