Fee Changes 2023

From January 2nd, the gap for consultations at Next Practice Deakin will be changing. For non Healthcare Card (HCC) or Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) holders, the gap will be $55. For HCC or PCC holders, the gap will be $33.

We believe, at our core, in equity and accessibility and that no one should go without necessary healthcare. If you are concerned about being able to pay the fees to meet your healthcare needs, please speak to your GP to discuss the options.

We also believe in continuity of care. If you attend Next Practice Deakin regularly and have reached 6 privately paid GP consultations:

  • If you are a HCC or PCC holder, the doctors will bulk bill all your future GP consultations for the remainder of the calendar year
  • If you are not a HCC or PCC holder, the fee will be $33 for the remainder of the calendar year

The GPs here continue to bulkbill children under 5, DVA Gold Card Holders, Medicare Eligible Health Assessments and GP Management Plans.
