The HART Room

The availability of good medical care tends to vary inversely with the need for it in the population served.

Julian Tudor Hart was a GP, researcher and writer in Wales, UK. He was the first GP to measure the blood pressure of all of his patients and after 25 years of doing so, produced the evidence to show how he reduced premature mortality by 30%. He proved how high quality records, teamwork and audit are the keys to health improvement. He was a powerful advocate of a more equitable health system.

@Next Practice Deakin, our team based care, quality records and contemporary approach to measurement for improvement are foundational to our work. Our value of equity; that is providing care based on clinical need, is a core value.
