Barbara Shone

With a wealth of experience as a social worker, Barb brings a compassionate and knowledgeable approach to her role. Barb’s journey began with training in the UK, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Social Work Studies. In 2012, she made the move to Australia, where she has been working in and around Canberra.

Professionally, Barb is known for her friendly and non-judgmental demeanour, fostering a supportive and easy-going environment for those she works with. What truly excites Barb about her current role is the chance to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, where person-centred care takes centre stage. It's the perfect alignment of her values and professional aspirations, making each day a rewarding journey of helping others.

Beyond the office, Barb is a lover of the great outdoors. Particularly gardening, embarking on bush walks with her pups, and indulging in camping adventures. She relishes everything about nature, except perhaps those pesky mosquitoes!
