Medicinal Cannabis

We have multiple doctors who are highly experienced and educated in the prescription of medicinal cannabis for the management of conditions ranging from chronic pain to mental health.

To book an initial appointment for medicinal cannabis, please call to book a consultation with either Dr Rohan Reddy or Dr Esmond Leong. Dr Sheetal Bull and Dr Jonathan Day are not currently taking new patients.

Benefits booking at Next Practice Albion

  • Medicare rebates
    • If you are seen in-clinic once every 12 months you can access Medicare rebates for appointments.
  • Repeat prescriptions
    • If you are an existing patient, we can provide prescriptions with repeats.
  • Existing patient appointments
    • If you are an existing medicinal cannabis patient and have already had a past medicinal cannabis prescription from any of our doctors, you do not need to pay the full initial appointment fee. Your out-of-pocket fee will be $70 with Medicare card and rebate if you attend your first Next Practice appointment in-clinic.
First Appointment:

45 minutes total (Consultation with the GP + time for the TGA paperwork after the appointment) $260 out of pocket

The first appointment involves taking a thorough medical history, assessing all your health conditions, giving you all the information regarding the medicinal cannabis treatments and then completing all the administration in regard to the application to the TGA in order to be approved to prescribe the medicines.

If you have a health summary or referral form your GP or specialist that is useful but not essential.

Follow-up Appointments:

15 mins $91

Medicare rebate is available for eligible patients.

In the future once you are on a stable dose you will just have appointments for a short review and to get new prescriptions when you need them.

Please note: We can do the appointment over the phone or in the clinic. If over the phone, then we will email over any written information, dosage instructions and any paperwork.
