Do you accept new patients?

We accept new patients and are delighted you have chosen to receive your care at Next Practice Braddon. When booking a new patient consultation, please ensure that you arrive early to fill in the new patient form and get yourself acquainted with the clinic.

To give you the best care possible, the practitioners at this location take time to understand your medical history, key health information and measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure. On your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our Patient Advocates who will ask you to complete our new patient form using an iPad. Don't worry the technology is easy and if you need help with it, your Patient Advocate will be pleased to assist.

What is the best way to get to the clinic?

Next Practice Braddon is conveniently located just across from the Canberra Centre. The clinic address is Shop 9, 61 Cooyong Street, Braddon ACT 2612.

Public transport

The clinic is an estimated 6 minute walk from the City Bus Interchange and an estimated 8 minute walk from the Alinga Street light rail station.

Driving to the clinic

There is 2-hour free parking in the nearby streets such as Batman Street and Currong Street. There is also paid parking located around the building. We suggest you arrive early to your consultation and check the parking signs.

What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model. It aims to strengthen and formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams. Evidence shows that seeing the same GP and healthcare team regularly leads to better health outcomes for patients.

You can formally register with the clinic here as your usual general practice or register with your preferred GP from 1 October 2023.
