Functional Nasal Breathing Rehabilitation Workshop*

Saturday 3rd June 2023, 2-5pm, at GenBiome

'Nasal breathing gives you better airway function, which improves your lungs, your body's functioning, your sleep, your exercise and sports performance'

The Functional Nasal Breathing Rehabilitation program has been developed and is facilitated by Dr. Rosalba Courtney, PHD.

Rosalba is an osteopath with a PhD on the topic of Dysfunctional Breathing and Breathing Therapy. She has written extensively on these topics and is one of the most experienced practitioners of breathing therapy internationally.

Integrative Breathing Therapy and the Functional Nasal Breathing Retraining program are based on her academic research as well as her 40 years of clinical experience.
The Functional Nasal Breathing Rehabilitation (FNBR) program promotes healthy nasal breathing and addresses functional issues that may have developed from "nasal disuse".

This program can be used in conjunction with dental, medical and surgical treatment and might help to improve outcomes.

The exercises in this program aim to:

  • train the sensory functions of the nose
  • provide mechanical stimulation to the nose
  • improve whole body breathing patterns
  • promote better posture and muscle function
  • reduce nasal discomfort and hypersensitivity
