Dr Shalika Shetty

Dr Shalika Shetty is a specialist paediatrician with extensive general paediatric experience in the hospital and out-patient settings. She has trained in the UK and also within the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Her focus is in creating an evidence based integrated and holistic care approach, that navigates the best outcomes for the child within their family and carer unit. She additionally has a long-standing interest in nutritional and environmental medicine and the impact of lifestyle in promoting health and also wellness.

She is an accredited MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) practitioner and works with healthcare staff in the areas of resilience and burnout. She has experience working with broad multi-disciplinary teams including allied health specialists and schools, to meet the needs of both the child and their family.

Her clinical focus includes: general paediatric medical concerns, lifestyle medicine, behavioural and learning issues, allergy and atopic conditions, gut health, PANS and PANDAS, neonatal concerns including feeding and settling.

At Paediatric consultations with Dr Shalika Shetty, for Medicare rebates to be eligible, you will need:

• a valid referral from your GP (valid 12 months),
• and your child to be present at the appointment (whether face to face or via telehealth).

Reception staff are unable to look after your child or your other children during the appointment. Please bring an extra support person if needed.
