- Special interests: Sports Medicine, Civil Aviation Medicine, OHS Policy and Procedure Development, Commercial Diving, Return to Work and Fitness for Duty Assessments and Permanent Impairment Assessments
Dr Caron Jander is an Occupational Physicians who can provide the full scope of medical services including medicolegal consulting services including but not limited to Permanent Impairment Assessments, Fitness for Work Assessments, and corporate advisory services.
Dr Jander completed her medical training at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, she later completed her MPhil in Sport Medicine at the University of Cape Town. She worked in a variety of clinical settings before relocating to Australia and commencing her Traineeship in Occupational Medicine.
Dr Jander has extensive experience in the field of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, after gaining her Fellowship and Consultant status in 2005. She also holds Fellowships with the American College of Sports Medicine, and the College of Aerospace Medicine, and has completed additional training in Civil Aviation, Diving, Submarine and Aesthetic Medicine.
Following her passion for Sports Medicine, Dr Jander has worked at numerous international sporting events as the team doctor for the Australian Paralympic Swimming Team and the Australian Blind Sailing team. She was the support doctor for the Australian Invictus Sailing Team and has held the position of National Medical Officer with the Australian Racing Board.
Dr Jander has also worked as a Surgical Assistant at a variety of hospitals throughout Perth, assisting with Orthopaedic, ENT, Plastics, General Surgery and Plastic Oncology cases, which has given her a unique perspective in her work in Occupational and musculoskeletal Medicine.
