INTEGRATIVE BREATHING THERAPY

BREATH, MIND, BODY - 5 weekly sessions starting Tue 11 Feb from 6:30 to 8pm

Breathing is a bridge linking mind and body. This course offers a unique combination of breathing, movement and mindfulness practices that can be used to create calm and also to invigorate ourselves. Learning to clam ourselves when overwhelmed, and to enliven ourselves when depleted, allows us to more fully engage with those things tha really matter to us. This is a key focus of this course.

FUNCTIONAL BREATHING RETRAINING - 5 weekly sessions starting Tue 5 May from 6:30 to 8pm

This workshop is designed to help people with all types of breathing disorders to breath better. You'll learn a thorough and comprehensive breathing retraining program for people with conditions like asthma, COPD, snoring, sleep apnea, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, insomnia, exercise performance. You'll learn to correct hyperventilation and bad breathing habits and improve the use of your diaphragm.

HEALTHY BREATHING, HEALTHY CHILD - 5 weekly sessions starting Tue 5 May from 5:30 to 6:30pm

This course is for children with asthma, allergies, sleep disordered breathing, mouth breathing and behavioural issues related to these conditions. The children learn the Healthy Breathing, Healthy Child exercises and techniques and also learn:

  • How to establish the daily practice routines that create long term changes in breathing and associated problems
  • How to use breathing, mindfulness and relaxation techniques to relieve symptoms, self-regulate, become calm and focus attention

The group classes are small and designed to engage children with music, movement and play.
