Dr Dayna Griffin enjoys all aspects of General Practice and is passionate about patient-centred care, health promotion and preventive health care.
Dr Griffin has a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is accredited to provide shared antenatal care with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and St George/Sutherland Hospitals. She can insert and remove contraceptive devices (Implanon and Mirena). Dr Griffin also has a Diploma in Child Health.
Dr Griffin is an accredited GP provider of focussed psychological strategies and has undertaken additional training in anxiety, depression, youth mental health, eating disorders, trauma-informed care, and substance use (alcohol and other drugs).
Prior to becoming a GP, she worked in a number of areas of medicine including: adult and paediatric acute care, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, general surgery, and psychiatry (adult and child/adolescent).
In addition to working at the practice, Dr Griffin works in a team with other doctors and allied health professionals to produce evidence-based medical guidelines. She also participates in the education and training of doctors. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and practising yoga.
