Billing Policy:
We are a private billing clinic. Our fees cover the cost of providing you with a high-quality healthcare service, including skilled doctors, practice nurses and reception staff, within a purpose-built, state-of-the-art medical facility. Please note that we require full payment at the time of your consultation. We accept contactless and card payments to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For your convenience we can process your claim through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare.
Telehealth Appointments:
We have decided to adopt a pre-payment method for Telehealth appointments. This means a deposit will be taken 24 hours in advance and will be deducted from the final fee. For your convenience we can process your claim through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare. If we do not receive a deposit for your Telehealth consult, your appointment may be cancelled.
Cancellation Policy:
At Next Practice Newstead, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and plans can change. However, we also recognise that our medical professionals' time is valuable, and their schedules can be tight. Therefore, we have implemented the following DNA (Did Not Attend) cancellation policy to ensure the smooth running of our practice.
Standard Appointments:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your standard appointment, we require at least 2hours' notice. If you fail to attend your standard appointment without warning; after the second occurrence a DNA fee of $50 will apply. Please note that no Medicare rebate applies to this charge.
Care Plan and Extended Appointments:
If you need to cancel or reschedule a care plan or extended appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. If no cancellation is made there will be a full charge without warning as the clinic has incurred a short fall. No Medicare rebate applies to this charge.
Exceptional Circumstances:
In the event of exceptional circumstances, such as sudden illness or emergency, please contact our clinic as soon as possible to let us know. We will work with you to reschedule your appointment at the earliest convenience.
