Dr Wesley Chan

Dr Wesley Chan (ABN: 91 664 947 086) completed a biochemistry degree in Hong Kong before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2012. He is a Fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery. He has a special interest in oncology and palliative care, weight management, skin cancer medicine and cosmetic medicine. Enjoying the variety of general practice, he is interested in assisting patients with their weight management goals. Complemented by his biochemistry knowledge, he offers a holistic approach to help patients address different barriers during their weight loss program.

Dr Chan completed his cosmetic medicine training with the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (ACCSM) and is an expert in the field of cosmetic medicine, focusing heavily on advanced aesthetic techniques and treatments.

Dr Chan uses cutting-edge techniques, and is a leader in non-invasive aesthetic procedures. He is one of the few cosmetic doctors in Queensland to offer ultrasound guided injections as part of his treatments, to enhance the safety of injectable treatments and improve results.

Dr Chan is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and has worked with a range of ethnicities and genders. He is passionate about clients achieving their aesthetic goals, and enhancing their confidence.

Please note: Procedures will incur a treatment room and consumable fee that is charged in addition to the GP consultation. Treatment room and consumable fees are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

10% less on GAP fee for Pension and Concession Card Holders and patients under the age of 18 years old. Bulk billing available for children under 2 years of age. DVA Gold holders will be charged directly to DVA only.

You will be eligible for a Medicare Rebate for telehealth appointments if you have visited the clinic for a face-to-face consultation previously. If not, you can still book a telehealth consultation, however you will not be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate, until we have seen you for a face-to-face consultation.

WorkCover:
You will need to pay for your GP visit on the day until your case is accepted or denied by WorkCover. Reimbursement will be provided by WorkCover QLD.

My Billing Policy:

My fees cover the cost of providing you with a high-quality healthcare service, that includes my services alongside practice nurses and reception staff, within a purpose-built, state-of-the-art medical facility.

Please note that I require full payment at the time of your consultation. I accept contactless and card payments to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For your convenience your claim can be processed through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare.

Telehealth Appointments:

For all of my telehealth appointments, a $50 deposit is needed in order to secure the appointment, at least 24 hours in advance. This amount will be deducted from the final fee.

For your convenience your claim can be processed through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare. If no deposit is received for your Telehealth consult, your appointment may be canceled.

New Patients:

Cosmetic Treatments:

It is a legal requirement by the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA) that cosmetic treatment appointments can only be booked by existing patients who have had a consultation with Dr. Chan.

Cancellation Policy:

• Standard Appointments: If you need to cancel or reschedule your standard appointment, I require at least 2 hours' notice. If you fail to attend your standard appointment without warning; after the second occurrence a did not attend (DNA) fee of $50 will apply. Please note that no Medicare rebate applies to this charge.

• Care Plan and Extended Appointments: If you need to cancel or reschedule a care plan or extended appointment, I require at least 24 hours' notice. If no cancellation is made there will be a full charge without warning. No Medicare rebate applies to this charge.

• Exceptional Circumstances: In the event of exceptional circumstances, such as sudden illness or emergency, please contact the clinic as soon as possible to let me know. I will endeavor to work with you to reschedule your appointment at the earliest convenience.
