Dr Nisha Iyer graduated from Monash University in 2014. She then worked at Eastern Health (Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital and Angliss Hospital), gaining experience in a broad range of specialties. She completed her General Practice training in 2019, after gaining experience in various clinics in south eastern Melbourne. She holds a Certificate of Women's Health from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Her special interests include paediatrics, women's health, mental health, preventative health, early pregnancy management, travel medicine and LGBTIG+ health. She is trained to insert and remove Implanon contraceptive devices. Dr Nisha Iyer is now accredited to provide shared maternity care for public patients with the Royal Women's Hospital and Sandringham Hospital.
Outside of medicine, Nisha enjoys reading fiction and true crime, playing classical music, and spending time with her cats.
