Meet Dr Paresh Dawda
General Practitioner - MBBS, DRCOG, DFSRH, FRCGP, FRACGP
“I was fortunate to be involved with the team developing the vision and concept for Next Practice from the very beginning. The purpose and values resonated so much with my own passion for healthcare that makes a meaningful and positive difference to our patients. I am really looking forward to working with our team and using purposeful technology in supporting our patients to enhance health outcomes and experiences that matter to them.”
Dr Paresh Dawda trained at The Royal London and completed his postgraduate qualifications in England. In the UK, Paresh worked as a GP Principal and senior educator and supported the NHS nationally in developing quality and patient safety training programs.
Paresh migrated to Australia in 2012 and continues to have a portfolio of roles; academic, clinical, and advisory. Paresh is passionate about providing holistic care for patients, simply because great health is so much more than medicine. He has a particular interest in working with people with chronic medical conditions. Palliative care is also a large part of his clinical work. He values the conversations he has with patients and their families as this helps him understand their goals and what matters to them. Paresh feels privileged to take the learnings from everyday patient encounters and use them to advocate for change not only locally, but nationally and internationally.
Outside of work, these values translate into his personal life. As well as pursuing interests in photography, technology and cycling, Paresh treasures spending time and travelling with his family.
