Meet Robyne Hingeley
Outreach to residential aged care facilities and housebound patients
“There are so many silos and roadblocks that get in the way of public healthcare being truly patient focused. I look forward to working with a cohesive, supportive and caring team that can, and does, focus on those receiving care”
Robyne graduated as a nurse after studying at the University of Canberra, and then Charles Darwin University. She worked at The Canberra Hospital for ten years following her studies in areas such as palliative care and cancer, and then at Calvary in aged and palliative care.
In her professional career, Robyne is most proud of becoming a nurse practitioner and would describe herself as someone who is supportive, helpful and genuinely interested in caring for her patients. Robyne is excited to grow as a practitioner while working with Next Practice.
In her work, Robyne enjoys listening and talking to patients and their families so she can not only help them, but also learn from them. She has a particular interest in palliative care because she can provide comfort to patients, hear their life stories and see the love within their families. Robyne is also interested in wound and pain management, as well as cancer and dementia.
Outside of work, Robyne loves spending time in the outdoors doing activities such as scuba diving, bouldering and gardening.
