Dr Laura Smith attended Deakin University (Victoria) medical school and has had experience as a resident around Australia; from Bendigo (VIC), to Alice Springs (NT), to Canberra (ACT). She completed her General Practice training under the FRACGP and has since worked as a GP. She joins Next Practice predominantly as an outreach doctor.
Laura is caring and kind and loves to help patients achieve their healthcare goals. She emphasises the importance of getting to know patients, supporting them with understanding and educating them on various topics to best manage their medical conditions. She is most proud of helping patients manage both simple and complex health issues which have significantly improved not only her patients’ quality of life, but also the lives of those that surround patients, such as their families.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys gardening and reading but especially spending time with her young baby
