With a deep commitment to improving the lives of those affected by diabetes, Liz is a passionate Nurse Practitioner, with a Master’s in the field and over 25 years of experience. In that time, Liz has gained a notable endorsement and has set up an innovative Nurse Practitioner model in both Victoria and New South Wales to significantly enhance outcomes for individuals with diabetes.
Liz’s approach to healthcare is characterised by being approachable, considerate, and continually updated with the latest advancements in the field. Liz firmly believes in creating a supportive environment where individuals with diabetes can achieve their goals.
Known for being approachable, considerate, supportive and up-to-date, Liz harnesses technology to empower patients, guide staff and share knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of diabetes support. Her interests span type 1 and type 2 diabetes, GDM, pre-diabetes, and obesity management.
Liz’s dedication extends beyond the bedside. She is an active member of ACNP and the Australian Diabetes Educators Association. She is a Chair Credentialing Committee member at the National Association of Diabetes Centres and co-chair of the NSW Health Diabetes and Endocrine Network. Liz’s involvement in numerous projects with NSW Health, both inpatient and outpatient, underscores her commitment to advancing diabetes care.
Beyond professional life, Liz finds solace in the company of her family and two lively collies and cherishes the simple joy of taking in fresh air during long walks.
