After completing her Bachelor of Pharmacy in Sydney in 1971, Kath worked in the United Kingdom as manager of a retail pharmacy and in Canada as a hospital pharmacist. Kath settled in Canberra in 1976 and has a wide range of experience in pharmaceuticals, both working in, and owning pharmacies. She is AACCP MRN177 accredited for Management review services in rural areas and in the city.
Kath has a passion for helping people manage their health issues in order to improve their health outcomes. She is a courteous and compassionate health professional who emphasises the importance of communication skills to enable forming relationships with patients in a short space of time so that they talk freely about what matters to them. She is particularly interested in geriatrics, pain management, diabetes, asthma and psychotropics.
Kath has a number of interests outside of work too; travel, photography, theatre, cooking and family time.
