"I always wanted to study medicine. What made me explore nutrition was taking organic chemistry classes in high school, which led to discovering my innate curiosity for nutrients and anything to do with nutrition. With a curious mind and my motivation to help people, I embarked on my journey to become a qualified nutritionist. In doing so, I left Romania my home country to come to Australia."
As a nutritionist, Gabi has a great focus on educating her patients about the principles of nutrition, importance of nutrients and food groups.
Her core beliefs about nutrition are that it should be practical, simple, consistent and create balance:
- Practicality is needed when we are all busy trying to balance everything in our lives. Gabi focuses of giving nutrition advice and tips that are practical and can be implemented on a daily basis.
- Simplicity is needed as sometimes nutrition may seem a complicated realm for some of us. Gabi wants to show her patients that the fundamentals to good nutrition are simple, with uncomplicated steps that can be implemented each day.
- As everything else great in life requires consistency, the same goes for good nutrition. Gabi focuses on helping her patients achieve consistent healthy nutrition habits to help them achieve good health.
- For success we also need balance. Gabi believes that healthful nutrition can only be achieved by having a balanced approach to food and incorporating a bit of everything into the diet that is supportive to one's health.
