Meet Dr George Somers
George brings with him a wealth of knowledge, compassion and dedication to the Next Practice team.
He was born in Holland and brought up in the Dandenong Ranges. He has been a dedicated GP since 1976 but don't let the years under his belt fool you. He is still as passionate about healthcare as ever.
George has taught at Monash University, completed a PhD and is an Associate Professor at Monash University, School of Rural Health. He sits on several GP advisory boards as he continues to change the face of healthcare for the better.
While all our doctors provide total patient healthcare Dr Somers holds special interests in Mental Health, Child and Adolescent health as well as chronic disease management.
